  • Full payments must be made in the signing of the Commission Agreement prior to the Start of Work, or alternatively, a 50% up-front fee can be paid. Final payment must be made within ten (10) days of delivery of final Work. In the event that payment is made in installments (i.e. 50% up-front), ownership of the Commission will only pass from the Artist to the Client on receipt of payment in full. Payment method is determined prior to the start of Work (i.e. bank account transfer, debit, credit card).

NOTE: All prices are specified as Great British Pound (£GBP). It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that they have converted currencies based on current exchange rates.

  • By commissioning the Artist, the Client is purchasing the Artist’s labor only. The Artist retains all rights to the Commission, which includes but is not limited to: Distribution, reproduction, use of the Commission for Artist promotion (e.g. Profiles, Personal Space, Public Space, as defined in the Definitions section herein, etc.); or as it applies to new Terms of Service agreed upon in a "Transfer of Copyright Agreement" as defined in the Client Documents. The Client may not distribute, reproduce, or otherwise profit from the Commission, beyond the resale of the original, [traditional art] Commission, or as it applies to new Terms of Service agreed upon in a "Transfer of Copyright Agreement." The client may not edit, alter, or trace the Commission without the Artist’s expressed written permission, or as agreed upon in the Commission Agreement prior to start of Work. Artist also retains full copyright for any preliminary designs and incidental works made in the creation of the Commission, unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • The Client must specify the content of their Commission to the best of their ability prior to a Commission Agreement. A complex Commission will incur additional illustration fees, to be defined and agreed upon in the Commission Agreement prior to Start of Work. The Client must specify the desired display size of the Commission, regardless of whether the Commission is completed digitally or traditionally. A large display size will incur additional illustration fees, to be defined and agreed upon in the Commission Agreement prior to Start of Work. Commission pricing details can be viewed here; all prices are as a guide only and may not represent the final price of a particular Commission.

  • Once work commences on a Clients Commission, Artist will email photos of the progress of the Commission. At this stage minor alterations can be made to its design content. Major alterations may incur an additional fee. Artist reserves the right to share “painting in progress” photos to social media unless the Client expresses this not to be done. eg a surprise present.

    (1) Minor Alterations. An alteration requested by the Client will be considered a minor alteration by the Artist if it does not fundamentally change the Commission and is estimated to take less than an hour to paint (i.e. changing hair colour, adding clothing detail, adjusting face expression).

    (2) Major Alterations. An alteration requested by the Client will be considered a major alteration by the Artist if it requires a significant amount of time to paint or changes the scope of the Commission (i.e. changing time of day, adding another character or pet, changing the entire design of character). The Artist reserves the right to charge an additional cost for major alterations. The Artist will always notify the Client if a requested alteration is deemed major, and if the Artist will charge an additional cost for it.

  • Digital art Commissions will be provided to the Client via email or an online download location in .jpeg or .png format. Files will be of highest resolution and include both signed/watermarked and un-watermarked copies of the finished product. The Artist is not responsible for the cost of shipping a Commission (traditional art Commissions or any digital media device [e.g. CD, DVD, flash drive, etc.] or print of a digital art Commission) unless signed and agreed upon in the Commission Agreement prior to the Start of Work.

  • Client may terminate their Commission at any time by sending written notice thereof to Artist at the address provided herein. Upon such termination, Client agrees to compensate Artist as follows:

    (1) Partial Completion. If Artist is partially completed the Commission, Client agrees to compensate Artist at fifty percent (50%) of the compensation agreed upon. If the Commission is terminated by the Client after Partial Completion by Artist, Artist shall retain ownership of all rights of copyright and the original artwork, including but not limited to completed artwork, sketches, and comps.

    (2) Full Completion. If Artist has completed the finished artwork at the time of cancellation, Client agrees to compensate Artist in full.

  • Any late payments due Artist from Client shall bear interest at the highest applicable statutory rate in any jurisdiction in which the Commission is made. If no statutory rate applies, late payments shall bear interest at a rate of two and one-half percent (2.5%) per month.

  • Refunds will not be considered for finished artwork. Disliking the Commission or change of mind are not considered for a refund; this is minimized by providing drafts and progress photos throughout the Commission process. If the Client is unsatisfied with the Work for an appropriate reason, they must contact the Artist within ten (10) days of receiving the final Work. The Artist will make additional revisions, within the terms outlined for commission revisions.
